Portugal were able to beat host country France (1 - 0 in extra time) in the Euro 2016 finals (even without Cristiano Ronaldo, who was carried away 25 minutes into the game after he was injured), to become the Euro 2016 champions.
They have now been included in the list of countries that are European Champions.
