BREAKING NEWS :DIEGO SIMEONE'S BAN UPDATE

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has been banned for eight matches as a result of his mis-conduct during the Supercopa de Espana clash with Real Madrid.

Simeone bluntly refused to heed calls from fourth official Antonio Santos to leave his position in the crowd during the second half. He thereafter, patted [same] fourth official on the back of the head after a heated argument [between the two].

Here's what happened in pictures :

Heated exchange: Diego Simeone gives the fourth official his opinion during the Super Cup second leg final

Antonio Santos and Simeone arguing heatedly......

On my head: Antonio Santos gets a tap to the back of his head for his troubles on Friday night from Simeone

Then very angry Simeone pats (or should I say slapped) Antonio at the back of the head....

He was finally sent off the pitch,by the ref (Fernandez Borbalan) and he left,(though angrily)
