Nigeria U20 women national team defeated Korea Republic 2-1 in their second group game of the ongoing Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup in Canada.

Goals from Courtney Dike and Chinwendu Ihezuo were all the Falconets needed to get past the Asians that attempted a comeback though Kim Soyi in the second half.

Dike got the curtain raiser of the game after 12 seconds, and the falconets later had a two-goal lead ten minutes later through Chinwendu Ihezuo.

On resumption of the second half, the Falconets pressed for more goals but all to no avail.
With less that 20 minutes to the end of the game Soyi pulled a goal back for the Koreans as she scored from the edge of the box following a moment of distraction in the Nigerian defense.

Nigeria currently lead Group C with four points from two games and will face England in their last game on Wednesday at the Commonwealth Stadium in Moncton.
