UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE : THE GROUP STAGE DRAW POTS

The UEFA Champions League draw begins today,at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco  (5:45 p.m). 

In this draw stage,the 32 teams in the competition (which have been divided into eight groups),will play each other home and away,so that the top two from each group would advance to the knockout round of the competition.

The participating teams have been drawn into four pots based on their UEFA coefficient. 

Each group will contain one team from each seeding pot, two teams from the same country cannot be drawn into the same group,and no more than two teams from each country can play on the same matchday.

The actual group games begins in September (16 and 17), and the groups all conclude on 9 and 10 December.
