Today's report has it that Man Utd.'s coach Luis Van Gaal will pocket a bonus of £1m at the end of the season if Manchester United retains the top 4 spot on the EPL table and hence qualify for the Champions league next season.
The club currently leads 5th placed Liverpool with a whooping 5 points following last Sunday’s hugely-significant 2 - 1 victory at Anfield.
United’s owners – the American-based Glazer family – and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward are known to be delighted with Van Gaal’s impact in his first season at the club.
And the Old Trafford paymasters will be happy to reward their experienced manager if he leads them back to the promised land of the cash-rich Champions League.
