The Nigeria Football Federation, after a tedious task of searching for a new coach for the Super Eagles have picked Le Guen, a Frenchman, from a three-man shortlist that included Salisu Yusuf and Belgian Tom Saintfiet.
The immediate task of Le Guen who has worked in Africa in the past would be to lead the team to qualify for the World Cup in Russia come 2018.
The NFF will consider SalisuYusuf as an assistant coach, even though the former Kano Pillars coach had earlier said he was not interested in being second in command to anybody.
