A full morning and afternoon of rain at the Rio tennis venue prompted postponements of 20 of the 26 matches on Wednesday's original schedule.
Among the players who never had the chance to start swingin' in the rain were 2008 gold medalist Rafael Nadal and 2012 gold medalist Andy Murray.
Nadal, who was supposed to play three times for Spain on Wednesday in singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles got the day off entirely instead of being busy as can be.
Because tennis was not an option, he chose another sort of game.
