Manchester City news: Yaya Toure to stop playing for club and country

Tuesday was an eventful day for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure.

He announced earlier on Tuesday his intention to quit playing for his national team

"After 14 years at the highest level, I'm sure this is the right time for me."

Toure made this announcement without foreseeing that his time at Manchester City may soon come to an end, as City manager Pep Guardiola says he will not pick him until he apologises to the club and his team-mates for comments made by his agent; Dimitri Seluk.

Guardiola said: "He must apologise. If he doesn't, he won't play."
He also wants an apology from Toure's manager.

Seluk however, said that Toure had been "humiliated" and Guardiola should apologise to him if City do not win the Champions League competition. He also said he has nothing to apologise for.

Toure joined Manchester City from Barcelona in 2010, after he was sold by Pep Guardiola.

He has won 113 caps for Ivory Coast, and has also won the African player of the year award 4 times.

Since the arrival of Guardiola, Toure has featured in only 1 match for Manchester City this season.

Do you think Yaya Toure should apologise or he just leave Manchester City for another club already ?
