SUPER FALCONS REMAIN AFRICA'S BEST DESPITE DROP IN FIFA'S RANKING

Nigeria’s senior female national team are now ranked 33rd according to the latest Fifa ranking released on Friday.
The African champions were rated the 32nd best football playing team in the world according to the ranking released earlier in February.

Nigeria are the least ranked nation amongst the four countries in Group D of the 2015 Fifa Women’s World Cup billed for Canada  where they have USA (2), Australia (10) and Sweden (5).

In the overall world ranking, Europe still holds onto the top spot with Germany while World Cup hosts Canada climbed up one spot to the eight position.

Behind the Germany are USA (2nd, unchanged), France (3rd, unmoved) and Japan (4th, unmoved),while China PR suffered a serious setback after a disastrous run of four draws and five defeats, which has seen them drop three places to 16th

There's no cause for alarm since the team remains the best football playing team in Africa and are followed by Ghana who are placed 52nd in the world while Cameroon are third on the continent ( and number 53 in the world).
