Paul Pogba's 1st-half goal was enough to earn France a 1-0 win over the Netherlands in the 2018 World Cup qualifier played on Monday.
The game got off to a lively start, but the 1st chance of the game arrived after 13 minutes when Kevin Gameiro forced Maarten Stekelenburg into a fine save from close range.
3 minutes later, Quincy Promes who scored a brace in his last game, picked up a knock and was replaced by Memphis Depay.
France eventually got their breakthrough after 30 minutes, when Paul Pogba unleashed a strike from 30-yards out that slipped through Stekelenburg's hands.
The Dutch pushed for an equaliser in the remaining stages of the 1st-half, but the score remained 1-0 in favour of France at the break.
Netherlands were dealt a blow after 60 minutes when Georginio Wijnaldum went down clutching his hamstring and was replaced by Bas Dost.
France coach Didier Deschamps opted for an attacking change for the final 20 minutes, as he introduced Anthony Martial for Dimitri Payet.
Netherlands threw everyting forward in search of an equaliser and also brought on Jetro Willems in the closing stages but were unable to bypass the French defence.
